5 Cloth Diaper Accessories You Must Have
As a mom who has cloth diapered all 4 of her kids and a seamstress who has manufactured cloth diapers for over 8 years, I have a lot of experience with different ways to cloth diaper using accessories.
If you buy anything at all make sure you at least consider these!
Cloth Diaper Accessory #1: Flushable liners or fleece liners.
Make changing poopy diapers quick and painless with biodegradable flushable liners. Liners also help protect the inside of your diapers from staining. Just peel that bad boy off of the inside of the diaper and flush it.

Make a small investment in reusable fleece liners and preserve the life of the inside of your diapers!
Alternatively, you can invest one time in reusable fleece liners. Fleece liners can be washed and reused over and over again, so you only need a handful to last you through a couple of days until washing time. Fleece liners will protect your diapers and make diaper changing a breeze.

Cloth Diaper Accessory #2: Diaper pail and pail liner
You are going to need somewhere to store those dirty diapers between changes and laundry!
Snag a 13-gallon trashcan with a closing lid and some pail liners ( you may need more than one pail liner to rotate them in and out between washes)
These are my top choices at the best price, have them shipped for free with Amazon Prime! With Amazon prime you can save up to 20% on baby products. So definitely make sure you are signed up.
For pail liners (the bag that slides into the diaper pail to contain your dirty diapers) … there are so many different kinds out there. But I have tried and tested many. You will need a sustainable liner that will last wash after wash, because these will be washed every time you do diaper laundry.

Cloth Diaper Accessory #3: Zippered Wet Bag
You are going need zippered wetbags with you everywhere you go.
You will need these to store your dirty diapers, dirty clothes, dirty bibs, dirty cloth wipes in while you are away from the house.
This way you can just dump the whole bag into the diaper pail when you get home or in to wash right away.

Cloth Diaper Accessory #4: Diaper sprayer or showerhead
We have to spray those chunks out of the diaper before you throw it in the washing machine ( especially if your baby is eating solids and/or formula).
This will be a lifesaver when you open up some surprise diapers.
The best thing you can do for your diaper is to spray it out so all that chunky stuff doesn’t create bacteria while it’s waiting in the diaper pail to be washed.

Cloth Diaper Accessory # 5: Cloth Wipes (my favorite)
If you are going to use cloth diapers, it only makes sense to also use cloth wipes.
Cloth Wipes are just as easy if not easier than disposable wipes. Just put a stack of dry wipes at the diaper changing station and a water bottle (lots of moms have used their hospital peri-bottle from the hospital) filled with water or cloth wipes solution to get them wet.
You only need to get them wet when you are about to use them. This makes it easy having them right there in the changing area. Once you’ve wiped your baby, just toss them in the diaper pail.

This is the MUST have list. You really should invest in all of these accessories to make your cloth diapering adventure work for you.
Although you can definitely do without any accessories, but you will be glad you made the accessory investment.
